YellowFin

Thunnus albacares. Yellowfin tuna is torpedo-shaped with a dark metallic blue back, yellow sides, and silver belly. They are highly migratory and are found in the Pacific, Atlantic, and Indian Oceans. They form schools with other tuna and are also known to associate with dolphins. They can weigh up to 450 pounds and measure up to 7 feet long.

Skipjack

Skipjack is one of the smallest and most abundant commercial species of tuna. They have an aerodynamic body that mostly has no scales. Their backs are dark purple-blue and their lower sides and bellies are silver with four to six dark bands. They are found mainly in the tropical areas of the Atlantic, Indian, and Pacific Oceans, with the greatest abundance being observed near the Equator. Large schools of adult skipjack tuna often mix with juvenile yellowfin and bigeye tuna. They can weigh up to 40 pounds and measure up to 3 feet long.
